The State Office for Nuclear Safety, Department of Non Proliferation organised a one day workshop, named “Hands-on workshop on the “Act No. 19/1997 Coll., On Some Measures Concerning Chemical Weapons Prohibition“ and the Decree of the SÚJB No. 208/2008 Coll. Implementing the Act on Some Measures Concerning Chemical Weapons Prohibition. The workshop was organised for two groups of representatives of Chemical companies dealing with Schedule 2 and 3 Chemical Agents, as well as producers of discrete organic chemicals and or organic chemicals containing in their molecule sulphur, phosphorus or fluorine. The workshop took place on 12th and 19th November respectively. The primary goal of the workshop was to inform the participants about new developments arising from the decisions and recommendations of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and acquaint them with modified versions of forms used for reporting the Company’s activities. Hands-On training in use of the forms was an integral part of the workshop. The two groups totalled together 35 participants.
