Report of the IRRS Mission to the Czech Republic Released

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) conducted the Integrated Regulatory Review Service (IRRS) mission to review the regulatory framework for nuclear and radiation safety in the Czech Republic at the request of the Czech Government from 18 to 29 November 2013. The IRRS team confirmed that

·        the Czech regulatory system for nuclear and radiation safety is robust;

·        the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB) is an effective and independent regulatory authority;

·        the Czech Republic actively participates in the global safety regime.
