Popis:	The purpose of this meeting is to review the arrangements to ensure effective justification of medical exposure in diagnostic imaging in the day-to-day practice of hospitals and clinics throughout the world. In particular, the role of three key areas in ensuring effective justification will be explored: awareness to enable effective communication about radiation risk; appropriateness to ensure that those referred for radiological examinations really need them; and audit to check the effectiveness of the referral process and related processes.
