Radiation Situation Monitoring

Radiation situation monitoring on the territory of the Czech Republic is ensured first of all by means of the Radiation Monitoring Network. State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB) is authorized to control this network. The monitoring itself is in addition to SÚJB, National Radiation Protection Institue, v.v.i., nuclear power plants operator provided by Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Environment.

Radiation situation monitoring data are used for the radiation situation assesment, for the monitoring and evaluation of the exposure and, in case of a radiation accident, for the decision about countermeasures related to the exposure reduction or adverting. Storing, processing and publishment of Monitoring of Radiation Situation results is ensured by the software tool

EURDEP

The European Radiological Data Exchange Platform EURDEP is used to publish radiation monitoring data from Europe and some other parts of the world. EURDEP is a European platform for the exchange of data between most European countries. Participation of EU Member States is regulated by EU Council Decision 87/600/Euratom (CZ) and EU Commision Recommendation 2000/473/Euratom (EN). Participation of other countries is voluntary. The EURDEP database is developed and maintained by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commision.

A simple version (current radiation situation) and an advanced version with additional options for displaying historical data are available to the public. In order to access it, you must first accept cookies and then update the page.
