The State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB), in accordance with the provisions of Article 9 paragraph 1 a) and Article 22 paragraph 1 a) of the Act No 263/2016 Coll., the Atomic Act, issued a new decision on the permit for siting of two nuclear facilities, i.e. Units 3 and 4, at the Temelín site.
The new decision replaces the existing permit for the siting of Units 3 and 4, which was issued under reference number SÚJB/OLNZ/22296/2014 of October 22, 2014.
The application was submitted on the ground of a change in the legal situation, which was caused by the entry into force of the Atomic Act and its implementing regulations, and the subsequent steps for the permit holder, and other factual and legal facts. These changes led to a change in the documentation for the permitted activity and also affected the siting permit for Units 3 and 4 reference number SÚJB/OLNZ/22296/2014. SÚJB assessed the reasons for issuing the new decision as sufficient and carried out a new procedure and adapted the permit to the new situation.
The decision was issued by the Office on the basis of a request from ČEZ, a.s., submitted on August 21, 2020. The czech version of permit is available.
